A Son’s Dream

January 2018 ~one month before the “inciting incident”

It was a very vivid dream.  All the students of his school, the International School of Lausanne, had been evacuated to the football [soccer] pitch. It was illogical because the sky was an overwhelming purple with storm clouds and a tornado was threatening.  There were no teachers around. The students were all cowering. When my son thinks back to the dream, the thing that stands out from the dream is the purple colour of the sky. 

After my son got this dream, I went searching on the Internet for what the purple sky might symbolize.  I found several answers.  Purple can symbolize royalty, artistic expression, sexual nonconformity, sexual frustration. Nothing seemed to really fit.  But, then a month later, the incident with my youngest son (a different child) happened at school— he was told by the student counsellor, that though he feels he is “straight”, he could possibly be gay, one day, as sexual orientation is now considered to be fluid.

When the incident happened, I realized that the purple skies did symbolize sexual non-conformity.  So, this means that there is a spiritual stronghold of sexual nonconformity over the school. This is a threatening cloud over all the students.   The clouds are also a sign of God’s deep unhappiness about what is happening with the students. He is about to take action.

“But after the death of Jehoiada things fell apart. The leaders of Judah made a formal presentation to the king and he went along with them. Things went from bad to worse; they deserted The Temple of God and took up with the cult of sex goddesses. An angry cloud hovered over Judah and Jerusalem because of this sin. God sent prophets to straighten them out, warning of judgment. But nobody paid attention.”  2 Chronicles 24: 17-19 from The Message Bible.

If I were the school, I would be paying attention to the warning.

In the dream, there were no teachers around, meaning they had abandoned the children to fend for themselves.  There was an illogic going on because the school had evacuated the children, so that must mean the teachers were trying to do something helpful for the children. They had taken “emergency measures” to protect the children, but in doing so they actually left them more exposed and more vulnerable than ever. God is saying that teachers “mean well”, but they are actually exposing the children to more harm.  They’re not there to help the kids when they run into trouble. Yes, this is a perfect illustration of what the schools are doing.  Teachers do “their thing” but they don’t hang around to see the consequences and they don’t really care as the students are not their children. Though they might care some, they don’t love them. 

So, a month prior to the incident happening, God was already pointing towards what was going to happen.

So, who does love the children and will stay with them when the tornado threatens?  That’s the parents. As parents, we should not abdicate our responsibility to schools and society to teach children their character, morals, and especially sexual morals. Parents, go and find your child out there on the football pitch and run them away to safety. Are there any parallels to Lot fleeing Sodom & Gomorra? Don’t be like Lot’s wife and look back! (choosing financial security in-exchange for proximity to sexual immorality which was the root of their troubles.)

What else does this dream tell me? It tells me that the hand of God is with those battling against the ungodly influence of school curriculum on children’s sexuality. LGBT Sex Ed curriculum is not about teaching tolerance. It is the Angel of Light masquerading as teaching for tolerance to encourage children experiment with their sexual orientation and gender-identity. The incident at the school, didn’t happen by chance, as my son’s dream had foretold it, a month prior. God is going to put his fingerprints on whatever takes place, in such a way that we will all know it was He who did it…and in doing so, He will “turn the hearts of the Fathers to their Sons, and the hearts of the Sons to their Fathers” (Malachi 4).
